Good turn out for our AGM, so a big thanks to all who came along. The hall remains viable mainly due to it’s fundraising from the fete and 100 club and the hall management group remains committed to upgrading and maintaining it to the best of our ability. We are pleased to say that no increase will be made to our hire charges for this year.
The main news from tonight was that Jill Young stood down as Hall Committee Chair. Jill has been involved in the hall for a number of years both as treasurer and chair and she is due a huge huge thank you for her hard work and commitment. The hall wouldn’t be where it is now without her and she will be sorely missed.
We do have good news though, in that Chris Meek has agreed to join the hall committee as the new Chair. Chris has served on the hall committee in the past and is a regular volunteer at fete and running our annual fundraising quiz. He is well known in the village and will be a great addition to lead the team.
